1.-The preparation is key: even if your horse’s mane should be clean to braid, avoid using conditioning products before braiding it, as this makes the mane slippery.
2.-IT is also worth using a cover (or long neck) during the night before braiding, to place in a flat, soft mane.
3.- Have everything at hand, not only the bands, but also spray, comb, brushes and even a wet sponge.
4.-Unless you have been blessed with a horse with a silky mane, you will probably need a spray or gel to avoid loose hairs and keep the tresses tightened and tidy.
5.-. A good braid allows to show the neck of the horse and, in addition, keeps the hair out of the face of the horse when jumping. Comb the mane with a nice braid is particularly important if the horse is going to participate in a competition or exhibition.
